Held at the Marchesi Centre, Windermere the event went very went well with almost 100 entrants. There was a full-size simulator and, as by a seaplane in 1912, accomplishments were made of passing between Tower Bridge and underneath other bridges on the Thames, plus flypasts down the Mall! It was very popular, with just enough time for the last in the queue to take part. In addition, glider models were built and launched and a pedal plane was constructed. This was the first time such activities have taken place north of Buckingham. Also, 2 further simulators, aeroplane caricature and puzzle activity, with stands for Windermere’s aviation history and Air Cadets’ recruitment.
